Tonight the geeks are joined by Javier Palenzuela from CriticalHitMedia! These guys are the creators of the Game Knights series that you can find on YouTube as well as the soon to be RPG hit Beasties & Bygones. The guys are talking greatest (or worst) captains or commanders.
With the plethora of real life captains, as well as captains from comic books, sci-fi movies, and literature there is no shortage of captains to choose from. The geeks explore some of the obvious choices, such as Captain Kirk from Star Trek, but also take the opportunity to get into the deep end of things. There are also a few fake captains mentioned, like Dr Who (Fake captain!).
The geeks also get a chance to talk to Javier about his web series Game Knights. Game Knights is about a group of friends and acquaintances playing a game called Beasties and Bygones and their effects on each other, the game, and their lives. With a very talented cast of comedians and comedic actors, this half-animated/half-live action series is not only hilarious but really well done.
Haven’t we all sat around the table with at one time or another with “That guy”?? This series explores each of the personalities we have all experienced at the game table.
Who is Javier Palenzuela and what is this B&B?
Beasties and Bygones is the invention of a group of role players created by the very funny comedian Javier Palenzuela. From their own website: “Play your own cartoon show one episode at a time. This kickstarter campaign will fund an entire season of adventures. Including satirical takes on monsters, NPCs, classes and races from classic & modern cartoons, D&D, Lord of the Rings, Norse and Greek mythology.”
