The Quest Season Two question to ABC: Are you listening?

The geeks spend an entire segment asking the question to ABC:  Are you listening?

The geeks let their two cents be heard about The Quest Season Two.

It does not take a market expert to understand that there is very strong engagement behind ABC’s The Quest.  It has built a mini-cult following.  DM asks several times during the segment: ABC, Are you Listening?  The people who watch your station and tune in on a week in and week out basis are telling you something.

TinKnocker brings up the point that even the producers are involved in the live tweet sessions and how much fun that can be.

Of course Sundance and his eclectic tastes brings up Grey’s Anatomy? (Another ABC Show), and the geeks have some fun with him about that one and ...

The Quest Call out to ABC:  ABC do it

So the big revelation (or perhaps just a reiteration for the vastly confused) is finally upon us:  DM is a fan of ABC’s The Quest.

The emails have flowed, the tweets have floated, the Facebook posts have all asked, is DM a Quest fan or not?

Now DM goes on record in a definitive plea to ABC “I am a fan of the Quest” he states.  In a direct challenge to ABC execs and producers alike, DM throws the gauntlet down and says “Give me an excuse to watch your advertisements, Give me an excuse to never change the channel“.

If that doesn’t state it clearly that DM is a Quest fan, nothing will.

All jokes aside, ABC’s the Quest is the among the best geek shows that have run on TV in a long time.

As heard on one of our most recent broadcasts during an interview with Overworld games, they have a  new game coming out called New Salem.  This game just blew threw all of its funding goals on Kickstarter including both of its stretch goals!  With $19,492 funded out of an original goal of $13,000 it was not even close which is exactly how it should have been!  With 630 backers in total and this bodes well for the game.  There is a lot of interest and we can not wait to get our hands on ours!  GeekLine415 offers a full and hearty congratulations to Overworld games and we wish them continued success!

Tonight the geeks talk CelestiCon which is held on Labor Day weekend in the Bay Area and the season (hopefully not series) finale of The Quest!

Well, the season is unfortunately over and ABC’s The Quest comes to an end.  The kingdom is “saved” and the cheering crowds cheer the paladins as they march triumphantly away.

Overall it was a great ride.  The actors, participants, locations and everything were great.  This geek show was top shelf and we’ll miss it.

We won’t spoil any of the show, but suffice it to say that even DungoneMaster finds hope in the ending and he forwards his theory that perhaps not is all as it seems in the realm of EverRealm, he even suggest hijinks may be afoot!

Everyone hates this Resident Evil 5 character!

In this week’s show the 4 Geeks for Geeks take on the hilarity of some of the worst video game characters of all time.  We all know that those annoying non-player characters or even worse a character you are forced to play that you (or anyone else) does not like is always a challenge and hurts game play, but some are worse than others.

Everything from let down final bosses that are built up to be great battles but end up to be a bummer to characters thrown in just to make the game more difficult.

Dungeon Master blows the lid off ABCs  the Quest Conspiracy and the truth is revealed.  In this tongue in cheek look at the latest episode of their new favorite TV show, the Quest, the Dungeon Master finds what he calls the Quest Conspiracy and he relays it to all of us only the way one of the 4 Geeks for geeks can do.  His unabashed way of putting it reminds us there are no real geeks left in this game so how good can this world be and how much is it worth saving?

ABC The Quest had a 2-hour special on Thursday 8/28.  The 4 Geeks discussed this on the air on 9-2 live.  We decided to go ahead and post this as a podcast to give our listeners a brief run down of what happened on the show.

Why ABC The Quest?

The Quest is a show like no other.  It has been a real treat on network television to be able to watch a fantasy reality show.  All the Geeks have been really jealous of the cast and the fun they got to have in the castle.  The entire show is really well done and leaves us with a sense that there might be an opportunity in the future for more shows of this type.  The entire fantasy genre has not been well explored by network TV for the last few years...

Fantasy Flight Games this winter will be releasing their newest RPG series named “The End Of the World” which is a four part series based on various apocalypses to set a campaign in.The first book being released will be called Zombie Apocalypse, this supplement offers you five scenarios in which to build a basic campaign where you set in your own hometown or any city of your choosing and unleash the undead unto it!!

The characters you create in these campaigns are  totally up to your imagination, be it playing as yourself, or any other type of fictional persons. Once you decide on your character, you have to decide on possessions and a starting point which very well could be your own home and the contents inside of it!!!!
