Tonight the geeks got the pleasure of talking to one of the TSR immortals: Bruce Heard.  Bruce has embarked on a new journey as he recently rejoined the RPG community with his new work: Calidar, In Stranger Skies.  Our resident artist Nino probably said it best when he referred to Bruce Heard as “The OG” (original gangster for those not up on hip-hop slang 😉 )

Bruce is the creator of Voyage of the Princess Ark from Dragon Magazine, and the man behind Mystara and all that it became in the TSR heyday.  The geeks had a chance to sit down with Mr. Heard joining them from his home in Wisconsin and talk some old school Dungeons and Dragons…… MONSTERS...

Tonight the geeks were joined by Bob Salley of the Salvagers series of comics and Ruben Romero of the Agency series of comics.  The two of them have joined forces in comics (the Salvagers comic & The Agency) and the two of them combine forces and join the geeks for some conversation about the what Alien race would you not want to invade earth?  There are the obvious choices like The Flood or the Covenant, but what about the pod people from Invasion of the Body Snatchers?

The geeks also talk with with Bob and Ruben all about the Salvagers comic and the Agency series of comics.  The Salvagers comic (an old geek favorite) has issue 3 that have come out so far...

One of the geeks favorite games, the subject and cause of many a salty tear and tirade,  Good Cop Bad Cop.  Tonight the geeks talk with Brian and Clayton from Overworld Games and they are talking Geeks Choice:  Good Cop or Bad Cop as well as the new expansion to their game Good Cop Bad Cop called Bombers and Traitors!  Everything from movies and TV to comic books to some of the strangest old school 1975 movies no one has ever heard of!

Remember “Dirty Harry” Callahan from the Dirty Harry movies portrayed by Clint Eastwood?  Was he a good cop?  Or maybe a bad cop?  Or, maybe both???  What about Wyatt Earp?  Probably a good cop.  Walker Texas Ranger?  Good cop.  Paul Blart?  Mall Cop.  Steven Segal?  Definately a Bad Cop...

Tonight the geeks were joined by their old friend Loki from SavageMojo and their new friend from X-crawl fame, currently of Goodman Games, Brendan LaSalle!  The geeks and their pals were talking their own personal most savage dungeon xcrawls.  These were the ones that they have had the chance to participate in first hand.

Being that both Loki and Brendan have been able to experience these crawls from both the point of view of a writer and a player, they bring a unique perspective to the conversation.  With their typical horsing around attitude the geeks talk about some of the good times they’ve had at their table, and also listen to a horror story told by Brendan that hits pretty close to home for all involved.

On the show last night, the geeks were joined by Adam Lash and Kevin Gilligan, the comedic duo behind the very funny new show on YouTube, Gigahoes!!!

With their first season behind complete, the guys had a chance to sit down and talk with the geeks about famous and some infamous robots and AIs as seen in Movies, TV, and Comics.  Everything from Twiki’s worthlessness carrying around the “Flavor-Flav clock” that is Doctor Theopolis as DungeonMaster put it, to some of the iconic ones like HAL 9000 from the immortal 2001: A Space Odyssey.  Of course there had to be one of the specific gigahoes on the list but you’ll have to listen to DungeonMaster during the first segment to figure out which one that is 😉

As the end of year rapidly approaches, we do the 2014 Year in Review.  The Geeks take a look back on 2014 and give their highlights and lowlights of 2014.

As an exciting year, the Geeks had a lot to look back on.  From the great games they had a chance to play, like Good Cop, Bad Cop from Overworld Games, as well as the new version of WizWar originally by Tom Jolly and re-released by Fantasy Flight Games, the 2014 Year in Review is a chance to wax nostalgic.

The Geeks remember the great guests they’ve had through the year and all the people they have had a chance to meet during the year at the various con and industry events.  Old friends like 3-sages games, along with new ones like Adam Lash of Gigahoes and Javier Palenzuela of the soon to be released Beasties and Bygones.

So the Geeks decide to look at the Top Video Game Weapons, 10 to be exact in their own unique way.  After sifting through hundreds of possibilities, the group came up with the ones that entertained them the most throughout video game history.  The Top Video Game Weapons the geeks came up with were as follows:

10.  The Rocket Launcher from Resident Evil 1 (plenty of rocket launchers but none dominated as completely as this one)

Tonight the geeks are joined by Javier Palenzuela from CriticalHitMedia!  These guys are the creators of the Game Knights series that you can find on YouTube as well as the soon to be RPG hit Beasties & Bygones. The guys are talking greatest (or worst) captains or commanders.

With the plethora of real life captains, as well as captains from comic books, sci-fi movies, and literature there is no shortage of captains to choose from.  The geeks explore some of the obvious choices, such as Captain Kirk from Star Trek, but also take the opportunity to get into the deep end of things.  There are also a few fake captains mentioned, like Dr Who (Fake captain!).
